Our Founder
Stylianos Tsichlis
Styledent was founded in 1993 in Laval, Quebec, by Stylianos Tsichlis. At 53, he had just moved from Athens, Greece, with his wife and three children. Despite arriving during a recession, he opened his own lab to support his family.
Stylianos was a certified master dental technician with over 35 years of experience. He had previously owned labs in Sudan, South Africa, and Greece. Known for his passion and precision, he treated dental work as an art form.
In 2007, his son Dimitri joined the business after earning his dental technician certification in Longueuil, Quebec. Bringing fresh ideas and a modern approach, Dimitri envisioned a lab that blended hand-crafted quality with the latest dental technologies and materials.
Both father and son shared a love for teaching. Early in his career, Dimitri began giving lectures to dentists and university students on new dental materials.
Two years later, in 2009, Dimitri’s wife, Lidia, joined the team. With a background in communications and marketing, she helped build strong client relationships and supported dentists and prosthodontists with tools to grow their practices.
Styledent has always stayed ahead of the curve. We invest in cutting-edge equipment, stay informed on the latest research, and work with advanced materials. In 2014, we launched CAMdent Milling Center to serve other dental labs across Canada with high-quality CAD/CAM milling services.
Today, our greatest strength is our team. Every member works with the passion and precision that Mr. Tsichlis passed down. We continue to follow his values, combining technique and technology to perfect our craft.
